Equitek is again Driving Diversity with the next evolution in our diversity outreach solutions for Canadian corporations with employment equity initiatives.

The Equitek Diversity Portal, designed in partnership with Online Abilities, a not-for-profit organization committed to assisting disabled IT professionals, will serve as the single point of reference where our outreach partners can download the job description and where applicants will apply, via hyper link to your applicant tracking system, for all of your available positions.

Our outreach partners have come to rely on the Diversity Portal as a resource for a majority of employment opportunities for their clients.

“Strategic Diversity Sourcing” is an innovative approach to recruitment developed by Equitek Employment Equity Solutions and its partner TWI Inc, in response to the Federal Governments “Embracing Change” initiative. The objective is to develop a pipeline of talented diverse professionals from one or more of the designated groups, who have demonstrated success professional competencies required by our Strategic Diversity Sourcing client.

What is Strategic Sourcing?

Strategic Sourcing is an innovative recruiting process that identifies, sources, and evaluates multi-cultural professionals who meet the knowledge, abilities, skills and personal qualifications required for specific positions with the client. It differs from standard selection in two important ways.

It provides a sourcing strategy for candidates who qualify for a multiple positions rather than a single candidate who qualifies for a specific position. It focuses on “job fit” – looking beyond hard skills and past experience to understanding how the interests and talents of candidates align with those of the clients.

Strategic Sourcing is able to achieve its objectives through the use of extensive partnerships with individuals who operate as centres of influence within the diverse communities. Our Partners provide access to talent that is often hidden from traditional recruiting sources. Different from the subscription services Strategic Diversity Sourcing identifies both active and passive candidates who are interested in learning more about opportunities that interest them.
